Field Archaeologists Wanted

We have a one week survey in northern San Diego and southern Riverside counties.  Terrain is hilly with chaparral.  Most of survey area is in existing, but aging firebreaks.  We need three experienced field archaeologists.  Prefer folks with southern Cal experience.  An additional job possibility exsts on a large excavation in south San Diego County beginning around first of June.

• Fieldwork to begin on Monday 12 May and end on Friday 16 May 2008
• RECON wages are $15/hour.  Slightly more for experienced hands
• RECON pays for rooms at Lake Henshaw at an old, rustic motel, double occupancy.  Mediocre backcountry café nearby.  No decent grocery store within maybe 30 miles on country roads (Ramona and Temecula). 
• RECON per diem is $55/day; 75% for first and last day.
