Temporary positions available. Minimum requirements are a B.A. in
Anthropology or a related field and field school. Duties include Phase
I survey on linear projects in the Midwest and Eastern Plains, and
Phase II and Phase III archaeological excavations at prehistoric sites
in the southern and west-central Illinois areas. Pay: $13/hour. Per
diem: $30-35 plus single-occupancy motel room, Monday-Friday or, for
those also working weekends, Monday-Sunday. Hiring begins soon for
projects starting in late May and mid-June. Work duration: 4-8 weeks,
with possibility of work thereafter. Work will consist of 10-hour work
days with overtime pay. Work schedule will vary from project to
project, and will include the following: Monday-Friday, Monday-Sunday,
