Open Position – Principal Investigator, Minnesota
Commonwealth Cultural Resources Group, Inc. (CCRG), a full-service
cultural resource consulting firm with offices in Michigan, Wisconsin,
New York, and Minnesota, desires to fill the position of Principal
Investigator in our Minneapolis area office. This is an entry-level
Principal Investigator position that requires experience in
conducting, under the direction of a Project Manager, Phase I surveys,
Phase II evaluations, and Phase III data recoveries. Candidates must
be able to demonstrate at least five years field experience in
managing in-house support staff, sub-consultants, and temporary field
employees, including multiple field teams. Knowledge of computers and
GPS equipment is critical. Applicants should have a minimum of an
M.A. in anthropology/archaeology. We desire an individual with a
background in prehistoric archaeology; additional experience in
historic archaeology is a plus, as is prior experience in the Great
Lakes region, in general, and specifically Minnesota/Wisconsin. Areas
of analytical expertise are open, but demonstrated ability to conduct
artifact analyses and write key sections of reports (methods, results,
artifact analyses) is a must. Salary range for this position is
$40,000 to $50,000 with opportunities for advancement and higher
salary; we seek a candidate who wishes to grow within the company.
