is seeking experienced Historic Preservationists to join our project
team in Louisiana as part of the post-disaster recovery efforts in support of
FEMA. Multiple positions are available.
(1)
HP Specialist
-
Knowledge of laws, regulations, policies, and guidelines relating to the
preservation, protection, management, and monitoring of cultural resources in
order to assure that program goals meet legal requirements and policies.
Demonstrated ability to make determinations of eligibility and conduct
assessment of effects under Section 106 of the National Historic Preservation
Act and develop required correspondence, documentation files and administrative
record. Ability to communicate in writing in order to prepare technical
and non-technical reports, context development, write scopes of work, compose
management plans, and review and edit others’ work, etc. Advanced
degree in archeology, anthropology or a closely related field required.
Minimum of five years of field experience.

HP Specialist-Historian - Demonstrated ability to conduct and complete Section
106 of NHPA compliance, including making determinations of eligibility, assessment
of effects; consultation experience; resolution of adverse effects;
coordination with agencies and applicants; and experience in preparing Section
106 agreement documents. The candidate should have a minimum of 5 years
of experience in the field and must meet the Secretary of the Interior’s
Professional Qualification Standards in Architectural History.

HP Specialists-Debris – Knowledge of laws, regulations, policies, and
guidelines relating to the preservation, protection, management, and monitoring

Full
expenses are paid, including travel to and from the site, lodging and per diem
in accordance with the GSA schedule. Health plan, LTD, dental, and vision plans
are available. A generous 401(k) with large company match is available upon
attaining eligibility. All positions are W2 as an employee of RealStreet
Staffing.
