We are accepting applications for an Archaeological Lab Technician
for our Phoenix office. This position will be responsible for
working with the Lab Director in support of various archaeological
projects in a busy lab. This position is a temporary hourly
position. Pay will be based on individual qualifications and
experience.

Responsibilities as the Archaeological Lab Technician include:
* Coordinate with the Lab Director to facilitate artifact
processing, analyses and tracking;
* Inventory and process prehistoric and historic artifacts for
analyses and curation;
* Extract and prepare archaeological samples for analyses (e.g.,
pollen, charcoal, etc);
* Prepare project paperwork for curation and registration at various
state repositories;
* Coordinate with the Lab Director to organize and maintain
equipment in the laboratory and storage facility;
* Conduct and prepare archaeological records review for reports.

Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in anthropology, archeology, museum sciences or
related field preferred. Equivalent experience instead of the degree
will be considered. Experience with Microsoft Access, Microsoft
Excel and word processing preferred. Ability to handle multiple
tasks in a fast-paced, friendly and dynamic environment. Ability to
work under direct supervision and/or independently in order to
accomplish project goals.
