ARCHAEOLOGICAL FIELD TECHNICIANS
Location: Sacramento, California



Devine Tarbell & Associates, Inc. (DTA) has been a leader in consulting
to the energy industry for over 20 years. Our continuing growth in
HYDRO, WIND and OCEAN ENERGY provides excellent opportunities for our
company and for our employees. DTA is comprised of engineers,
scientists, and regulatory specialists providing a full range of
consulting services to clients in the hydropower and renewable energy
industry.



DTA is currently looking for project Field Technicians for the upcoming
2008 summer field season.



Duties/Responsibilities

* Participate in pedestrian surveys or other archaeological
fieldwork

* Locate and record historic and prehistoric archaeological
sites

* Maintain detailed field notes

* Will require some lifting and carrying

* May require 10-day field sessions (8 hours per day)

* Attention to detail



Qualifications

* Bachelor's degree or higher in Anthropology or related field;
or close to completion

* Must have prior experience and knowledge of current scientific
field and technical methods (participation in a field school and at
least one year of survey experience preferred)

* Applicants must be able to walk 8-10 miles a day, which may
include rough terrain and/or inclement weather

* Ability to work independently and as part of a team



Additional Knowledge A Plus

* Regional cultural histories

* Section 106 of the National Historic Preservation Act
