Requirements:
- BA/BS degree in anthropology or archaeology (equivalent experience
may be considered).
- Archaeological field school is preferred.
- 6 months to 1 year; Northern Plains field archaeology experience is
preferred.
- Experience with GPS.
- Commitment to flexible assignments and work schedule; travel is
required.
- Motivated; problem solving skills; attention to detail; and
excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
- Willingness to assist with interdisciplinary duties that may be
needed to deliver quality services on schedule.
Job Description:
- Wage begins at $12.00 per hour and is commensurate with experience.
- Daily per Diem, hotel rooms, and transportation to work areas and
hotels and back is provided.
- This full time position has the potential to become permanent.
- All aspects of archaeological research and fieldwork, including
pedestrian survey, testing, and excavation.
- Tasks include archival research, GIS mapping, and GPS data
collection.
- Ability to work in extreme weather conditions and terrain, lift up
to 50 pounds, and walk up to 10 miles per day on a continual basis.
- Work is scheduled on a weekly basis; however, this may change
depending upon client and project needs. Flexibility with scheduling
is an asset.
