POSITION OPENING
Cultural Resources Specialist/Senior Archaeologist

The Louis Berger Group Inc. has an immediate opening for a Senior
Archaeologist in Lakewood, Colorado, or other convenient western
location. This individual will serve as a Principal Investigator and
technical reviewer for inventory, testing, and excavation projects in
Wyoming and South Dakota.

The position is a senior-level supervisory position and requires
experience in CRM, preferably in the Rocky Mountain or Northern Great
Plains states. Responsibilities will include writing reports; providing
technical and peer review of project reports; and coordinating with
other Berger staff members. Work tasks will involve determinations of
National Register eligibility, evaluation of impacts, and development of
mitigation measures. Work tasks will also include reviewing reports for
technical accuracy to comply with federal and state standards and
coordinating consultation and compliance activities with clients,
agencies, and tribes.

Qualifications include a Master's degree in anthropology/archaeology
and/or sufficient experience in CRM, preferably involving Section 106
compliance projects, to meet federal and state agency permitting
requirements. Applicants must demonstrate ability and experience in
research, survey, excavation, analysis, and writing; have good
interpersonal and communication skills; demonstrate good management
skills; and be willing to travel occasionally to attend project
meetings. Other skills that will be given serious consideration include
experience in either prehistoric or historical archaeology and tribal
liaison capabilities.

This position is considered a full-time staff position. Salary is
dependant on qualifications and is negotiable. Full benefits package
