URS Corporation, a full-service environmental and engineering consulting firm with offices worldwide, is seeking applications for a Senior Archaeologist in its Gaithersburg, Maryland office. This is a full-time position with benefits; salary commensurate with experience.

The qualified candidate must have an MA or MS degree in Anthropology or Archaeology, plus a minimum of 10 years CRM experience, with at least 5 years in a supervisory role. Applicant must meet the Secretary of the Interior Standards (36 CFR 61) in archaeology, and should have demonstrated skills in CRM, including supervisory experience on Phase I, II, and III projects. Must excel in excavation skills, project and data organization, attention to detail, and logistics coordination. Must be a good writer with demonstrated report production experience - writing sample will be required. Must be able to write reports in PC environment (Word), as well as have some understanding of databases. Must be able to work well with a variety of staff at different levels. Must be able to mentor and guide junior staff. Excellent communication skills required. Extensive travel will be required.
