Senior Staff Archaeologist and Staff Archaeologists

Senior Staff Archaeologist and Staff Archaeologists

Deadline: November 24, 2008

EARTHWORKS, Inc., an environmental and archaeological consulting firm in Bismarck, ND, is hiring for the positions of Senior Staff Archaeologist and Staff Archaeologists. Join a great team working on a diverse range of projects throughout North Dakota, South Dakota, Montana, Wyoming, and Minnesota. If you're looking for limitless opportunities with a progressive, energetic, and growing company, contact us today.

Before you pass up this opportunity, let us tell you about the Bismarck-Mandan metro-area. Our growing area overlooks the Missouri river and has a population approaching 100,000. Bismarck has street fairs, an urban market, live music, new restaurants, and art galleries. Parks, trails, sports events, historic sites, yoga, drumming classes, a fledgling public transportation system, public and private schools and universities, arts, volunteer, and creative organizations keep a person busy. All of this, at a cost of living you can afford with wide-open spaces and little traffic. Most of all, we have exceptionally nice people to get to know.

Don't take our word for it – here is what others have had to say: In 2007, Forbes magazine named Bismarck-Mandan #2 as one of the Top Best Small Places for Business in America. Bismarck is becoming noticed nationwide, and has been designated the:

  • #1 Least Stressful Small City in America - Sperlings
  • #1 Most Secure Places to Live - Farmers Insurance
  • #1 Best Metro for Peace of Mind - Expansion Magazine
  • #3 Safest Metro Area in America - Morgan Quinto
  • #4 Best Small Metro's for Business in America – Forbes, 2006
  • #11 Best Work Environment in America: North Dakota – Political Economy Research Institute at the University of Massachusetts
  • #16 Best Small Metro in Which to do Business - Inc. magazine, 2005
  • A 50th Anniversary Sports Town - Sports Illustrated, 2004

Requirements:

  • MA/MS/PhD degree in anthropology or archaeology.
  • Minimum of 5 years experience (Great Plains or Midwest preferred).
  • Demonstrated ability to carry research to completion.
  • Full-time supervisory-level experience.

  • Ability to handle projects in a variety of geographic settings and in multiple jurisdictions.
  • Willingness to assist with interdisciplinary duties that may be needed to deliver quality services on schedule.
