Holman & Associates Archaeological Consultants is seeking fieldworkers for temporary positions immediately for ongoing field projects in San Jose and Fairfield, California.  These are project-specific positions that could lead to continuing employment but no guaranteed length of employment is offered.

We're monitoring construction and excavating features and burials in prehistoric sites. Excavation experience is a must; burial experience is a big plus but not required.  You need a degree in Anthro/Archaeo and/or field experience.  Fieldwork Certification may be acceptable, depending on field experience.  Be prepared to send a resume by fax or email (if you email, please no fancy graphics or photographs--they just screw things up).

This is commuter archaeological fieldwork, so you will most likely need transportation; we cannot offer per diem for room and board, but there is a travel allowance of up to $35/day (as a reimbursed expense in your check; expenses are not fronted).  Entry level pay is $15 to $20/hr depending on experience and degree.  There may be overtime work on Saturdays, but it hasn't happened yet and would not be required of anyone.

Please reply to: mrccrm@... or call Matthew at 650-726-6269 (fax number too); or call Miley at 415-550-7286 or fax to 415-282-6239.
