to perform survey of shoreline areas at Falcon Reservoir, Zapata County.

Particulars:
* Field time will be approximately 17 days;
* Single-room lodging and per diem ($30.00/day) provided;
* Wages will range from $11.50 to 12.70, depending on level of
experience;
* WLA is looking for one person among the 8 with crew chief
experience-wage range will differ from that of the crew members quoted
above.

Surveyors will be asked to perform surface-only reconnaissance to identify
and record prehistoric and historic sites. For this reason, WLA is giving
preference to personnel with shoreline survey experience, knowledge of south
Texas lithic artifacts, and ability to record artifacts in the field. This
important identification effort will help to assess potential/existing
impacts due to changes in reservoir level. Falcon is far from everywhere,
so applicants are asked to be sure they have the ability to travel to that
part of Texas. If you're ready for an adventure in the thorn scrub, please
send resumes to the e-mail address below!

Wendy Lopez & Associates, Inc. has posted a job listing for archaeologists
on a short-term project at Falcon Reservoir, south Texas. This announcement
adds some details to the original call for personnel:

Some folks have observed that we did not announce actual dates for the
work-at the moment, a start date of October 28 is anticipated;

Use of a boat to gain access to some portions of the survey area is
anticipated. Applicants should be aware that they may be asked to use this
type of transport. Corporate insurance applies.

As this is a surface survey only, WLA is especially interested in hiring
staff who have the ability and experience to record sites and artifact
material quickly and effectively in the field.

Thanks to all interested applicants-we will respond to your inquiries as
quickly as possible!

The posting that I sent yesterday about the Iowa work did not get through to everyone. Something about not being in a readable format. This is try #2.
