Interesting PoE problem   Message List
Reply Message #15123 of 16025 |
I'm getting 50-60V AC on the cases of our new PoE IP cameras. When I
connected one of these cameras are connected to building ground, I
actually blew out a few ports on a consumer-grade Netgear switch.
I've documented the whole thing (including a video) here:
http://www.controlgeek.net/blog/2011/7/2/weird-ac-voltages-in-a-poe-camera-syste\
m.html

Any thoughts on this?

Thanks!

John
