For over 25 years the San Diego Photography Section of the Sierra Club has been the most active photography club in the San Diego Area. Our members cover the gamut of professional, intermediate and amateur, shooting both digital and film. On average, we have 150 members which makes us the largest photo club in the County.
Our goal is sharing our common interest in photography and improving our photographic skills through monthly presentations by noted photographers, and by hosting workshops and photo outings. We often get together to do single day local shoots at varied locations several times a month. In addition each month we try to do weekend outings, which have included Mono Lake, Death Valley, Zion National Park, Valley of Fire, and the eastern Sierras.
Our monthly newsletter, The Viewfinder, keeps our members informed about our up-coming speakers, activities, and local exhibits. Monthly meetings are held the third Thursday of every month at Wesley Palms, 2404 Loring Street, Pacific Beach 92109, (858) 581-8423. Visitors are cordially invited to attend.
