Yep, I noticed that too. I don't think it's too suprising. They did
change the way the "About" screen looks and the installation
process. Also, it appears the format of DataViz product version
numbers is slightly different than the convention used by ThinkDB, so
they probably wanted to get that taken care of up front.

I just downloaded and experienced no problems and while I was there
redownloaded Docs to Go (which includes the Hi-res upgrade for my
Sony SJ20), and MacOpener (which worked flawlessly when I used it to
migrate my Mac data to my Windows machine)...

I'm pleased to see the two-way synchronization with MicroSoft Access
included as part of the product and I hope to see in the future
closer integration with their Docs-to-Go product (especially Sheets-
to-Go)

I'm new to the Palm-based PDA world (I just purchased a Sony SJ20
three weeks ago) and was very pleased with the included Docs-to-Go
product. I needed a database product and had narrowed my choices to
HandBase and thinkDB. I found HandBase Forms, although very flexible,
a pain to use and selected thinkDB because of its Forms designer,
although more limited, very easy to use; I hope to see the thinkDB
Forms designer improved even further.

I have used DataViz products extensively over the years, especially
on the Mac side, and I'm very pleased to see that thinkDB is now one
of their products.

Mebbe not, mebbe so. But I am extremely pleased with their efforts. They
just contacted me back-channel, and went to the effort of getting my contact
info to re-register me personally. Within a five minute time span of
sending that info in to them, I have been registered. Like I said earlier -
I'm extremely pleased with their efforts! Kudos to Dataviz!

ThinkingBytes has always provided minimal support for memory cards
(when compared to Documents To Go for instance). Being a registered
user of SmartList To Go, I'd like to know if this will change!

Maybe. Or maybe their server is just overloaded.

DDH had problems with overloaded servers, and their file was no where near 27

So we get three apps one of which is essentially ThinkDB and ThinkDB

functionality or are the two programs identical?

Hahaha!! If it ain't one thing, it's another! I appreciate your efforts to
resolve this issue. I went to the website to cross-grade, and now I get
this message:

"SmartList To Go Crossgrade Verification
We're sorry. This e-mail address has been used 5 or more times through this
form indicating a potential problem. If this is your correct e-mail address,
please contact DataViz for further assistance."

So, I'll just call in to tech support sometime later this week. Thanks
again for all the effort! It is a welcome relief from the stonewalling we
received from ThinkDB! Who knows - maybe tech support has already
crossgraded me during testing! :-)

It worked just fine for me and I got a free crossgrade. Maybe you
didn't register ThinkDB properly or under a different email address?
I would think a call to their tech support would resolve the problem.

Also, it seems pretty clear that there are no differences between the
Smartlist To Go and ThinkDB products right now - it's just a brand
name change. After all, they only just acquired the product!

Well, I have a problem with this upgrade path. I'm a registered user of
dbSync, Desktop and TinyBytes, yet your upgrade website says I still have to
pay $19.95 to upgrade my TinyBytes. What am I missing here? And your
website doesn't answer Lucinda's questions about improvements this
cross-grade purchase will buy.

I am also a Mac user. The lack of a desktop app did not stop me from
buying and using the Palm app.

Today I filled out the crossgrade form, and downloaded the new file,
only to find that it's an .exe file that I can't extract (instead of being a
simple .zip file).

Upon writing customer support, I'm told that they do not support the
Mac, and they don't have a Mac installer! And I'm told to stick with the
ThinkDB app!

I'm still trying to get them to understand that all I need is the
.prc file compressed in either a .sit or .zip format.

(sigh of frustration!)

Do we need to do anything in particular to preserve existing ThinkDB
databases when we crossgrade?

Thanks!

Hi guys -

Thought I'd just jump right out here and ask a question that's
probably on most people's minds: What is your plan on feature
enhancements and bug fixes? I'm assuming you've inherited a
substantial list of enhancement requests, as well as reported and
known bugs that are always going to be addressed in the next release,
but somehow seem to slip thru the cracks.

Thanks!
