I have had a couple of night-sessions with this lens. I thank the members for
their input on using the lens in low-light situations. It is one of the best
lenses that I have ever used. I have had other f/1.4 lenses (incl Minolta's 50,
85 and 35), but none match this one for fast-focusing, great color rendition
(yeah the shots were badly out of white balance) and flexible use of manual
focus. I find that the best low-light stuff is shot at f/1.6. The DOF is QUITE
shallow, but that is expected.
Does anyone else have good experiences with low-light shooting?
