Where are you from Marielena? it might help to know that in every
country there are differente procesdures as to certify translations,
In Mexico -or at least from my State- I have been authorised by my
University to certify translations I have signed every translation I
have done and so far none of them have been rejected or questioned.
but in other parts of the country, it is the US embassy the one
providing certification, In Spain it is the Ministerio de Asuntos
externos... etc.
Please let us know how you managed.

No, in fact it's an old expression maybe that is why you don't hear it so much
anymore. Mexican youth nowadays are more prone to use American slang such as
"cool" and "square" like in "él es muy cuadrado".

- Picardía can also mean being street smart, so to speak. Sly, but wihtout
the negative connotations. Also referred to someone with a pinch of
good-natured, witty character.
- The picaresque genre in Spain dates back to the XVI century. El Lazarillo
de Tormes is generally (almost officially, I would say) regarded as the
literary work that established the canon of picaresque.

1/2 cup toasted and ground peanuts
Wash dried potatoes and soak for 1 or 2 hours in water which is
piping hot. Heat the oil and fry the meats cut in medium-sized
chunks,
take them out and in the same oil fry the onion with the garlic until
it
is slightly cooked, add the AJIES, add salt, pepper and cumin
to taste, let cook very well these ingredientes and then put the
meats back
in the pot, add the consommé very hot, the wine, the dried potatoes
drained
and the cloves. Cook on low fire, stirring constantly with a wooden
spoon.
Add more consommé if necessary if the preparation is too thick.
Before
taking out of the fire the preparation add the ROSQUITAS and the
peanuts, leave
on the fire for a few minutes.
Serve with white rice or with scorched YUCAS.
NOTE: If you do not add the optional ingredientes it does not affect
its delicious flavor.

I have been offered a 100-page document for translation. I am not a certified
translator. The customer is asking what is the procedure to certify the
translation upon completion. Does the customer have to take the translated
document to an agency or court for certification? Can someone advise as to the
proper procedure?
Do I have to send the translated document along with an affidavit signed by me
and notarized, attesting to the accuracy of the translation?
