Thanks for contacting us. This is a known issue with SplashID affecting all
Symbian 9 phones, such as:
- N95
- E51
- E90
- 6110
- 6120
We are going to be developing a fix for this soon (finally), but until then
you cannot set a password on SplashID.
One workaround that a user came up with:
Export your VID file from the SplashID desktop (with a password) and store
it on the phone.
Create a new record on the SplashID desktop and just put Blank in the first
field and save.
Select this Blank record in the list and export just the selected record.
Store this vid on the phone.
Do not set a password on SplashID for the reason above.
Whenever you want to view your data, import the secure vID file with all
records.
When you are done, import the blank vID file, replacing the data, and all
your sensitive data will be erased.
