Adding to that is the age old addage, the best telescope is the one
you use the most.. or even just USE.
There was a lot of noise on the APUG regarding a UNUSED AP180 (iirc).
It supposedly sat in the box the whole time it was purchased till now.
Many believe that it is impossible for someone to buy a telescope like
that and NEVER use it, not even set it up to admire. Many also stated
the fact that a perfectly maintained and very very lightly used
telescope can easily pass as new.
But I digress. I applaud anyone who buys and telescope (ANY
telescope) and uses it. And I find that much more preferable to
armchair comparisons flung around the web declaring this and that
without any actual time at the eyepiece.
So, grab a scope, ANY scope and let the photons be gathered!!
