Was watching the 1954 movie "Them", about giant ants, the other night
and was pleasantly surprised to see a stereo realist being used! Not
just briefly but on several occasions. The scenes in the ants tunnel
actually has the camera used with the flash. Two viewers are also
shown as well as a gentleman holding up a mounted slide. Was nice to
see the realist being used in a film from the era. What amazed me even
more is that I have seen this film quite a few times and never noticed
the camera before. Anybody know of other early movies where the
realist is present as a product placement? Dan
