Live music will be provided on the main floor by Bob Hutchinson, and Ray Tyler from the Preludes.
Volunteer guides and printed schedules will be available to assist you in finding different events.

Susquehanna SeniorNet representatives will be available all afternoon on the 4th floor to informally discuss and demonstrate components of the award winning SeniorNet computer and Internet training program specifically designed for older adults.* From 2-2:30 Margie Shaw will present a session on "Online Scrapbooking."* From 1-2 a TurboTax demo will be available.

Humorous skits by members of the Community Theater League.
eBay Buying and Selling - This two-hour hands on workshop presented by Charles Ormsbee will explore getting started and establishing an eBay store. Preregistration is required for this program which will be held from 1-3 in the Gates Lab.
Fit and Fabulous After Fifty will feature representatives from two area fitness facilities - one geared to women and the other serving a male clientele. Two sessions will be held from 1-1:45. A representative from Curves will be demonstrating and discussing fitness for women in the Family Place Room. In the Classics Café men may learn about services and facilities provided by CUTS.
Perennial Favorites: Gardening for the Long Term will be presented by Penn State Certified Master Gardener for Lycoming County Tanya Stevens at 3:30 in the Classic Café. The presentation will be suitable for both avid and new gardeners.
Gone Fishing will be presented by the library's angler in residence, Howard Giles, at 1:45 in the 3rd floor Angler's Alcove. Giles will discuss how the items in the library's collection - both print and video - can help novices discover the joys of fly fishing and master its techniques.
Forgotten Glasses - An introduction to the scope of illiteracy in Lycoming County and information on becoming a tutor with The Learning Center will be presented from 3:15-4:00 in the Gates Lab.
Grand Finale
The day's grand finale will be Shall We Dance? - a ballroom dance demo from
3 pm - 4 pm in the basement Family Place Room, directed by our well-known local
"Dean of Ballroom Dancing", Herb Wahl.
Herb will be assisted by volunteers from the local dance community -- i.e. not professionals, but more likely your neighbors.

April 10-16 is National Library Week and the James V. Brown Library wants people to kick up their heels as they kickoff a weeklong celebration of libraries, literacy and learning.
"Last year's open house was so successful we wanted to do it again bigger and better," says Art Kline, Chair of the library's SeniorNet Coordinating Council. "The biggest difference this year is that the library will be open. Last year's Sunday was a special event but with the return of Sunday hours we hope to attract attendees of all ages." SeniorNet joins the library in sponsoring these programs.
