Description

Swallows, Martins & Swifts Worldwide is a whole-world Yahoo site dedicated to discussing and disseminating information on apodidae and hirundinidae worldwide.
Aimed at specialist and amateur alike, the site's language is English.
You may record observations, describe interesting behavioral features, ask questions, advise readers about publications, and submit photographs and texts via mail or "Files" or "Photos".
Write your contribution in English as well as you can, even if it's very bad English, this doesn't matter. Articles and messages in languages other than English may be posted, provided a summary in English is also attached.
Swallows, Martins & Swifts Worldwide works with other major ornithological web-based organisations to improve and disseminate knowledge about Swifts and Hirundines.
Please remember to end every message with the name of the country you are writing from.

If you have any material on Swifts (Apus apus only) that would be useful to a broader readership and needs a permanent web-presence, we suggest you submit it to APUSlife, Ulrich Tigges' Virtual Magazine of the Common Swift (http://www.commonswift.org) in addition to publishing it on SMS Worldwide. APUSlife accepts work in all languages, but requires a resume in English.
