The Community Economics Extension educators use applied research and
research-informed program strategies to help communities make decisions that
strengthen the vitality of their local economies. Community economics programs
offer educational opportunities for communities in such areas as economic impact
analysis, business retention and expansion, retail analysis and development,
tourism and events management, public finance, and the adoption of digital
technologies. We're looking for candidates with master's degrees and two years
of work experience with state, regional or local development agencies;
cooperative extension; higher education; community or interest-based
organizations; adult education; or foundations.
