Property assessments and the property tax base are key components of property taxes, the primary funding source for local government services. Property records offer a rich data source for community analysis and mapping. Our speaker will discuss the process, methods, and research required for determining the assessment of property, and present the challenges presented by foreclosures on mortgaged property.
