Dear TCRG List,

I am the executive director of a non-partisan, non-profit organization that promotes global understanding called Americans for Informed Democracy (www.aidemocracy.org). I am writing to invite you and your colleagues at TCRG to back-to-back town hall meetings on U.N. reform that our organization is hosting this Tuesday (April 19) in both St. Paul (at Macalester College) and Minneapolis (at the University of Minnesota).
Just weeks after U.N. Secretary-General Kofi Annan unveiled a sweeping plan to transform the U.N., and amidst continued calls by our Senator Norm Coleman for Annan’s resignation, these town halls will give people in the Twin Cities a unique chance to weigh in with their views on the future of the U.N.

The St. Paul town hall will take place from 4:00 to 5:30 p.m. on April 19 in the John B. Davis Lecture Hall of the Macalester Campus Center at 1600 Grand Avenue in St. Paul, MN. The Minneapolis town hall will take place from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. on April 19 in Moos Tower 2-620 at 515 Delaware Street SE in Minneapolis, MN. Both events are free and open to the public and will feature opening remarks by Thomas Pickering, a former U.S. Ambassador to the U.N., and Charlie Brown, President of Citizens for Global Solutions, and then allow for brief questions and comments from the audience.

I have copied below an announcement about our upcoming town hall. If possible, I would be most grateful if you could share this announcement with your colleagues.

With many thanks,

Seth Green
