So....
I said i'd never do an upgrade again since my experience with F9 to F10...

This was kinda interesting 'cause I got a little "pop-up thingy" yesterday
(6th July) asking me if i wanted to upgrade to F11.
Good news is... I WAS running F10 at the time...

I clicked next a couple of times and the downloads began. As it promised
there was no interruption to my normal computer use and it prompted me to
reboot this morning.

I rebooted and the machine attempted to start the installer automatically...
that failed.
Restarted machine and update option was in Grub and it started updating
successfully...

I left the machine performing installation... went to class... returned and
found notification that it was finishing up. Process took about two hours
and machine eventually rebooted and booted to F11.

All documents and applications appear to be still present... will give
further update in that regard at a later point.

I think this is quite interesting especially at this time when there's so
much dispute about upgrading to Snow Leopard and Windows 7.
