Recently several TalaPhoto users asked how to burn a Photo Movie onto
a DVD for viewing on a standard TV set. This is very easy to do using
iDVD on a Mac, just drag your Photo Movie into iDVD's workspace, or
into the AutoPlay box in the map view.
I strongly recommend upgrading to iDVD 6.0 which is part of the new
iLife 6 suite introduced last week. iDVD 6.0 solves several problems
found in prior versions.
Windows users should also be able to burn Photo Shows onto DVDs using
any DVD authoring software that can import QuickTime movies. From
their specs it looks like either Sonic's MyDVD Suite 6.1 or Sony's
Movie Studio + DVD should do the job. Sony provides a free eval while
Sonic offers a 30 day money back guarantee.
I'd appreciate hearing about any DVD authoring software you've used
to successfully burn a TalaPhoto Photo Movie onto a DVD.
Thanks,
Joe
PS It's also very easy to move a Photo Movie onto your Video iPod.
Just open your Photo Movie in QuickTime Pro, and use the Export
command to save it in iPod compatible or MPG4 format.
Would iPod video export be a useful feature to have built into TalaPhoto?
