Re: [TJUG] Java based ERP

Hi Khun Theera,

Thanks for your fast and Honest reaply and its much appreicated. YEs i agree
with you unto some extent. your views are absouletly right even if you are
haven't been in IT field lately ;-)

Thing is, there are lots and lots of reources available on net, the approch is
to "BUILD" as well as to "REUSE" . Its a huge task ( takes a year or more) bt
definetly doabale and commericially useable.
problem with using Compiere or any other available systems is that, the basic
design still remains the same and the time taken to develop new
GUI,newfunctioannlity, lungage layers, Loclisations is considerable, also once
we have comeup with the View and effore to fix after suuport and bugs,

I am please to hear from you ..u can call me at 070606971.

hello,

my impression of compiere is that it is hugh and complicated but is feature
rich. however, implementing a new ERP would require multiple years of work and
might not be the way to go. i personally think that making a set of coding or
configuration changes to make it work with the thai regulations and providing
support to make it simple for companies to use can be a good business. or if
you really want to change the user interface, you can just change the "view" of
the suite since it's already j2ee compliant. i dont see any reason to
completely develop a new product.

my views might be out of date though because i haven't been in the IT fields
for 2-3 years now. :)
