Dear Engineers,

Using this medium, I shall like to interact with you the Engineers being a decisive force for the future of Bharat/India. Being Engineers we are very much dedicated to our duties which is very nice on our part. In fact, we have been developing our nation as well as contributing towards the development of various other developed as well as undeveloped nations. It is also true that we are marching towards a developed status within coming decades. Others may like to compare the status of ours with the scale of development but yet we the Bharat kae Log are well equipped biologically as well as by conscious attainment to achieve much advanced goals farther off to advanced developed status.

But the fact still remains that country is being ruled by the corrupt & non committed politicians in all sphere of governance. Engineers are the backbone of any nation to construct its strong skeleton & that requirement is indispensable. Politicians have utilized most of the engineers for their rights or wrongs & we guys could not resist due to being in services & used by those powerful flocks of politicians from time to time since independence. But the consideration herein is how long shall we survive like this. I think all shall agree that a drastic change is necessary for the overhaul of the national systems.

Ours is a complete system to run the nation but is used by those in powers. Those people who actually do contribute for the development of the nation are not counted correctly being a well known fact. Then what should be done to bring the intelligent power or wealth of the nation to the fore front of governance. The most powerful weapon that the constitution gives to each citizen is the right of franchise the vote. All politicians have used this small commodity for relative uses for last 5 decades by treading on our shoulders. Each political party knows about its vote banks & they are really successful to encash during every election. All people just are made spectators to pass remarks that just what can be done by answering nothing in short. System is like this & it cannot be changed & the politics by virtue of this phenomenon has concretely flown onto the hands of mafias around the country.

Are we so pessimistic that it is impossible to take certain steps at least to help us to help the society & the nation ultimately, I know you shall definitely comment that I have been talking to waste your time & it is too easy to speak like leaders & that I am trying to convert into politician. Is it not correct about your thinking at the moment. But dear fellows this is not the case. We engineers have got natural capacity by virtue of our qualifications in the form of common sense well developed to the level that we can manage from lay man labour to the top levels of companies & companies itself evidently. We nationally have immense potential but the problem is this power has not been integrated into augmented power to break the useless powers spoiling the nation. Are these politicians that powerful that have been successful to rule the nations for many decades based on no special knowledge & utilizing ours specialist knowledge winning the results in their names.

I shall not like to go any longer explaining the background of actually what it is intended to state & propose for the consideration of all engineers in India & abroad.

I suggest that we as a most significant force of intellectuals should unify in principle to produce a top power for the nation governance service as we are most suitable for a multidiscipline working comfortably. We shall have lot of potential to help the nation move accelerated in to all spheres to achieve most respectable & lead status. With our collective intelligent & pragmatic approach in all practicalities & with the cooperation of all other professionals & intellectuals within & around the world, Bharat/India can be helped to a considerable extent in all respects of improvements giving many an impetus to all life spheres. Though this proposition appears to be imaginary in the first instance but can be realized. The best we can start with at least contribute our opinions, views in the article or blog forms on various national & international platforms available. It is known that most of you have been involved with e groups professionally but Is that enough for us. We must participate to improve non professional field like social & political reformation as no more shall we depend up on the generally corrupt politicians who care for no other but preservation of the political seats. No political party at the moment is clean to call itself to be handed over the future of ours.

All of us should come forward & contribute by virtue of our efforts to the interest free service to the nation & create an image in the public that we are no more dependable on the politicians. Just like Judiciary has warned the Executive & the legislature to do their respective jobs before criticizing the Judiciary, we can also be an integral part of the national system to integrate ourselves to lead the future national activities.

I have started writing my thoughts on the portals such as www.hindtoday.com

www.indiagrid.com www.ndtv.com & there may be may other free portals that can be made use of by us. We can write about engineering for public information, we can write about current issues, we can write about the political activities, we can write about any issue of importance from public view point. It is hoped that professional communities shall do something affirmatively in this regard to at least have a feeling to these politicians that some force is being generated to care for the nation in near future.I hope you too start joining such portals for the service of societies & nation.

It depends upon the type of cement u r using..
If OPC means 120 Cal/g i.e., around 50 - 60 degrees inside the core
for any mass concrete construction like dams, bridge decks, etc.,
That's why it is advisable to use low heat cement (about 70 - 80
cal/g) or to use any suitable admixtures. for more info about types of
cement refer any books on Concrete Technology....
