On the last (4th) Diabetic Foot World Symposium (in 2003) Professor
Appelquist from Sweeden (in my hobble opinion, he is a great expert in
Diabetic Foot clinical studies and evidence-based treatments) presented
a paper (poster #42) about HBO. He told that despite of some studies
evidence about HBO efects are still not clear, and the method
usefulness is controversial. So they started a prospective randomized
controlled study HODFU (100 patients were planned, study duration 2
years). I haven't seen this study results, but maybe somebody saw them
in medical journals, MEDLINE or elswhere in Internet? Maybe the study
group will present some results on the 5th DF Symposium this year (May,
2007)?
