The Essential Herbal (www.essentialherbal.com) is a printed magazine written by, for, and about herbies and the things they love - HERBS!!! It comes out every 2 months and is filled with herb information, recipes, growing tips, herbal lore, and stories. It costs $24 (in the US, higher outside US). This list is a companion to the magazine, and it is where we'll make announcements about publication deadlines and anything we need to let our readers know about between issues.
Subscribers, advertisers, writers and those carrying the magazine in their shops are most welcome to join in! It is not required that you subscribe or participate in the print magazine, but it is preferred.
We can talk about all aspects of herbal use and lore, from culinary, to cosmetic, medicinal, decorative, wildcrafting, to just plain crafting.
Instead of needing to wait 2 months, we can talk about things as they happen, as they sprout...as we see them, catch their fragrance, taste them.
The readers of The Essential Herbal have proven themselves to be fun, interesting people who are very knowledgeable about herbs.

On Monday, those who purchase print advertising, subscribe to the magazine, write articles regularly, or carry the magazine in their shops may advertise on the list. Since so many listees are business owners the list could quickly become too commercial unless we stick to that day only for ads.
