It appears most "voters" wanted to keep the Listserver "announce only", but there was some also some interest in starting a separate new discussion Listserver.

Action Planned:  Start a new discussion listserver, announce its availability, and then see if enough people join it to keep it going.

((If anybody else is interested in operating this discussion Listserver, please let me know.  Some "fresh blood" might be helpful.  If I don't hear from anybody by beginning of May, I will set it up myself.))

Change the Listserver settings  to "Any Member Can Talk About Anything",

related to model railroading in Central Pennsylvania.

* Choice 4 -- Start a separate NEW "Discussion" Listserver --  6 votes

for discussion by all members.

Continue operating this existing "Announce-only" Listserver the same way.

Given the possible interest in starting a separate NEW "Discussion" Listserver (Choice 4), it might be worthwhile to try setting one up as an experiment.

Jim,

I support "Choice 4" because it gives the desired result with more

flexability. Ie: if you get too much email, you don't need to subscribe to

the new list. However, since I filter my email into folders, I don't need to

manually sort out an "all in one" feed into seperate folders, thus saving me

time as well.

If the new list gets little or no traffic, it will dry up and blow away. I'd

hate to see that happen to the railnet list though.
