DAPI Financial Reports
On The Web Page
The Quicken Financial reports for the Danville Apple Pi Macintosh Users Group for the eight years 1998 through 9/9/2005 are
on the DAPI Quicken Financial Reports web page.
( The financial reports can be accessed using the 1st link on the "archive" page. )
Spreadsheet
The first sheet on the web page, an Excel spreadsheet, is also attached to this email.
This spreadsheet was made, by using the totals from the Quicken reports.
Note the top and bottom rows show the Opening Balance and Ending Balance for each year.
The 2nd and 3rd rows show the Total Income and Total Expenditures for each year
Other rows show the totals for each category for each year (example "Total Insurance, Total Room Rent", etc).
The "98-05 Totals" in the rightmost Column give the totals for each category (horizontal row) for ALL eight years 1998 through 2005. These "totals of the totals" are repeated following:
Total Income, 1/98 through 9/2005$2147Dues ------$2147Total Income Total Expense , 1/98 through 9/2005$671-Operating Expense $10492-Insurance $903-Room Rent - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - (last 3 categories are inactive)$4004-Newsletter $2135-CD Burning $4976-Training CDs ------$2317Total Expenditures As you probably know if you were a DAPI member, the last 3 categories (newsletter, cd burning, training CDs) are essentially "finished" projects, since we no longer print and snail mail a newsletter, got rid of the CD burner, and are not doing anything with the now-out-of-date training CDs and associated portable hard drive.
The current checkbook balance is $379.94, as shown in the "Ending Balance" of the "2005" column.
Quicken Reports On The DAPI Web Page
The Quicken Summary sheet on the web page, totals these income/expenses in Quicken (from which the spreadsheet was made).
The 7-page Quicken Category Detail Report that is on the web page, breaks each of the above 7 totals down into the individual transactions.
The checkbook registers for these seven years are also on the web page.
Side Discussion: Quicken Discussions on cpamu &
MacIntouch
I have been using Quicken 2000 in Classic mode to do this bookkeeping. I was thinking of upgrading to a new OS X version, until I saw the below discussion on cpamu, and went and read the Macintouch pages that are referenced. That was very interesting. There seems to be a whole bunch of Mac users NOT very happy with later releases of Quicken.
