UNSUBSCRIBING:  Note I added a few addresses to this Yahoo group just tonight.  You can UNSUBSCRIBE yourself (using Yahoo link at bottom) if you don't want these "Central Penna Model Railroading" emails.  I only send these out about twice per year anymore.  Telephone me if you don't understand how this works.

SUBJECT: Photos from NMRA Train Show, July 7-9 2006 Philadelphia

There are about 50 photos I took at this show, on a temporary "NMRA Philly" web page at http://www.track2.com/temp/060707.nmra.philly.
Please note these are just RANDOM photos of things that caught my eye.  This is not intended to be complete photographic coverage of the event.

Four of these photos are attached to the bottom of this email.

Photo 1 -- Enlarged NCE DCC cab with bigger buttons, for old people like me with poor eyesight who can't see the small buttons.  The standard Power-Cab part number is 524-25.  For this model that I am using, inquire about part number 524-25-Geezer

Photo 2 -- Delaware & Hudson, Alco PA-PB combination.  D&H historians tell you that the D&H had no Alco PB units, but this photo from the MTH display raises questions about that claim.

Photo 3 -- TCS automatic layout -- This layout was automatically controlled by a new experimental DCC command station.  This layout operated about 8 trains, which all started and stopped and changed tracks automatically.  TCS is just "down the road" from us in Blooming Glen PA (north of Philly).  ( See www.TcsDcc.com ).

Photo 4 -- Lego layouts  -- There was a HUGE Lego railroad display, consisting of about 2 million Lego pieces, a joint effort of multiple Lego clubs from around the country.  I have about 21 photos of the Lego railroad on my web page.  For lots more Lego photos, see the website  http://iltco.org  (where ILTCO = International  Lego Train Club Organization).

Our nearest local Lego group is "PennLug", down in the Harrisburg region.
They have a Yahoo group at    http://groups.yahoo.com/group/pennlug  .
