CARD INDIA is an non profit, social service and community development organization of young professions who are committed themselves for the upliftment of the under privilege. Professional social workers and Professional different walks of lives joined together and formed this organization. Its registered as a Charitable Trust under Trust and Societies Act. Though the trust was formally registered during 2004, the founding members of the organization have been rendering their services as the part of various other organizations. With the focus of development of under privileged, CARD INDIA has its liasoning and district office at Nagercoil. CARD India organizes women, youth and children with the holistic development approach. When the killer waves Tsunami has devasted the coastal villages of Kanyakumari District in Tamil Nadu, the organization was one among the first organizations to mobilize relief and support the affected. The organization supported the affected fisher folk by mobilizing food and cloths from the local contributors with the help of CARD volunteers. We supported more than 2500 affected families, who had sheltered in relief camps in different parts of District. The organization realizes a significant need for its intervention to support the fisher folk to restore the livelihood habitat and rehabilitate them.
