Question of 3D Copying   Message List
Reply | Forward Message #3683 of 4226 |
Hi I just joined the group and am in need a what I hope is a simple
solution to a problem that I have come across.

I am using T/C 14 pro to draw up 3D models for rapid prototyping. I
need to locate rivets in a model of an old riveted railway oil tank
wagon. The rivets on the flat are not an issue and I can copy them
easily and the rivets around a circular tank are also vey easy.
I need a method of quickly copying rivets around an eliptical tank and
also around the apron that goes around the base of the dome of the tank
wagon. I can supply a photo if necessary. As you can imagine the apron,
weaves around the dome and has a variable surface.
I just don't want to have to locate and adjust each rivet in place and
hope that they look right, I simply won't live that long.

If this is not possible in Version 14, is it possible in version 15, if
so I will go out a upgrade to the newer version.

Thanks in advance

Regards Keiran Ryan
