Tim

Thanks very much. The png format worked, via the graphics editor.

Cheers
Stephen

it works in v10.2, so it should work in v11

is the file corrupted maybe? can you open it in a graphics editor?

if you can open it in a graphics editor, save it as a new file in the
*.png format then try importing it

after you seect your image/activate this tool... to insert the image
drag from the top left to bottom right to insert the image as it is
oriented in the original...for mirror image drag it from top right to
bottom left...upside down drag from bottom to top...left or right will
mirror there as well

also once you import an image be aware you may want to lock the aspect
ratio of the image when you resize it so it does not become stretched
and/or distorted ....to do this, select the image and on the selection
toolbar there is an icon to lock the aspect ratio...or you can right
click on the image after it is selected qand in the popup menu there is
a llisting to locke the aspect ratio there

message "no filter matching this file", so jpg files don't seem to be recognised
by v11. Do you know what is meant by these filters and can they be installed
somehow I wonder?

Hi Dave Thanks a lot for your excellent instructions. I tried this out and it worked but the result is too rough to be useable. Never mind, it doesn't matter....
