When I did my house drawing I just used various line styles to show the plumbing
runs in schematic fashion with notes and arrows as needed for explanation, e.g.,
cleanouts. In a few cases where I needed to work out exact pipe layouts for the
drain & waste plumbing I used CAD drawings from www.charlottepipe.com. There are
plumbing symbols available somewhere but for a house drawing I don't think it's
worth the effort to make it the same as a commercial construction drawing.
Inspectors aren't looking for that kind of detail and if you hire a plumber
he'll pay very little attention to the drawing anyway.
