The Ukiah Astronomical Society (UAS) is a group of amateur astronomers based in the Lake and Mendocino county area of Northern California. The mission of UAS is to promote amateur astronomy through public events, mentoring, and collaboration among its members. We are a strong supporter of The Taylor Observatory in Kelseyville, CA.(www.taylorobservatory.org) Our web site is located at www.u-a-s.org

UAS was founded in the year 2000 by President Paul Kobetz and Vice President Terry Maples.
