RE: [UKACT] Government funding available for Acceptance and Commitment Therapy 28-29 March

Hi Henry,

I would love to attend your ACT training, I have a small private practice offering only a few hours of therapy a week, would that qualify me for government funding . If so what do I need to do.

Best wishes

Andy

Hi Jill,

The venue is a stone's throw from London Kings Cross. All other details at www.presentmind. org .I recommend people do the group experiential (first weekend) first if they haven't done one before. if you really can't make that March date or the other (May 16th-17th + June 13-14th) dates, then I think doing them in reverse order is ok - though I would recommend reading/doing the exercises for 'Get out of your Mind and into your life' as a substitute to someone who had not previous experience of ACT.

If you have already done a traditional two day introductory ACT then is is fine to just do the second weekend.

Best wishes,

Henry

Dear Acters

Sorry I cannot make this training as I have booked in for some trauma
training at this time.

Could you do just the second weekend?

Just to note that you have not said where the training is or the price? It
might help some people to know.

Best wishes

Therapy 28-29 March

Hello Fellow UK ACTors,

Thought I might let people know that Martin Wilks and I are putting on an
introductory ACT training over two weekends: 28-29 March + 25-26th April
(two weekends). The first weekend will be in the traditional group
experiential ACT workshop in which participants are invited to apply ACT to
their own material. The second weekend will also be experiential, focusing
on applying ACT to one on one psychotherapeutic practice, making use of the
DVD series to analyse different styles of ACT practice. No previous
knowledge of ACT will be assumed in participants.

On a slightly different note, we recently acquired access to government
funding for this training. Believe it or not, if you are a director in a
small to medium sized organisation we can get the government to pay your
workshop fee.

If anybody knows anyone who might be interested in this please pass the
information on.

For more information please email us on info@presentmind. org or call 020
7689 0390.

Best wishes,

Henry
