Re: [UncensoredTakGroup] Mounting an FS-60C Guidescope?

I mounted my fs60 using the fs60 clamshell threaded directly onto the bolt
protruding from the top of the fsq clamshell___no rings, no dovetals, no
flexure.

Subject: [UncensoredTakGroup] Mounting an FS-60C Guidescope?

Hi everyone, I'm brand spanking new to the Takahashi universe, so please be
gentle! I'm looking for the most secure way of mounting an FS-60C as a
guidescope for an FSQ-106ED on an MI-250 mount. I'm trying to eliminate as much
flexure as I can (within reason). Should I go with a set of Losmandy-style
guider rings or a Tak tube holder (TSK6010) and a TGM-2 in a side-by-side setup?

What would you do?

Thanks!
Tony

I am glad to hear that. I am going to go with the same FSQ /FS60 setup. I could not see how there could be much flexure in that arrangement . thanks , JimĀ  ...

Hartmut, that dual clamshell setup looks very solid. Who makes the transverse bar? That doesn't look like a Tak part. I'm planning to go the route of mouting...

Hi Tony, right, the traverse bar is not from the Tak catalogue. I took a 10x40x240 mm aluminium and drilled the holes for the 2 clamshells and the TGM-2. By...

Thanks, Hartmut! I'll see how much flexure I get with the TGM-2 I bought and consider making something like your bar if it's necessary. Tony...

I have a mounting setup that should work well for your FS-60 : ADM - Vixen V series parts: use two (2) VA dove tail adapters ( one one each scope ring, either...
