I graduate in May 2002 with a BA in Anthropology and a BA in History
from Georgia Southern University. I will be moving to the Tidewater
area because my wife will be working at the Norfolk Naval Ship Yard.
I am not sure of where I might find employment doing archaeology. Who
hires someone to do field work in the area? I don't know where to
start. There's federal, state, and private archaeology.I'm having
trouble locating Cultural Resource Management firms in the area. My
wife and I were looking at living in the Smithfield area because it
is equal distance from Portsmouth and Jamestown/Williamsburg. I
thought this area might be my best bet. If anyone has any suggestions
or information that might help me, I'd be grateful.
