A cohort posed a question last night about the documentation related to the
preservation of freshwater mussel shells on archaeological sites.
He is specifically interested in Pleurobema collinia (the James Spinymussel),
but would like info on any freshwater mussel shells collected from sites.
He is hoping that the cultural resource folks (archaeologists, etc.) might be
able to help the natural resource folks document the distribution of this
endangered aquatic species through time and space.
