Late Prehistoric Ceramics in West Virginia and the Surrounding Region

The Council for West Virginia Archaeology announces its 6th Annual
Spring Workshop. This year, the workshop will be held at the Delf
Norona Museum in Moundsville, West Virginia. The museum is located on
the grounds of the Grave Creek Mound Historic Site, the location of
the largest Adena burial mound in the United States.

The subject of the workshop is Late Prehistoric Ceramics in West
Virginia and Surrounding Areas. The program will begin on Saturday
morning with individual presentations from five guest speakers, and
the afternoon session will adjourn to informal discussions and
presentations of Late Prehistoric ceramic collections.

The 2004 Spring Workshop is generously sponsored by the Council for
West Virginia Archaeology, the West Virginia Division of Culture and
History, Cultural Resource Analysts, Inc., GAI Consultants, Inc., and
Michael Baker Jr., Inc.

This year's workshop will be held at the Delf Norona Museum in
Moundsville, West Virginia, about 15 minutes south of Wheeling. The
Museum is located just east of Route 2 on Jefferson Avenue.

Registration
Due to space restrictions, preregistration is recommended.
Registration is $30 for members of the Council for West Virginia
Archeology or the West Virginia Archaeological Society, and $35 for
non-members. Registration fees may be made payable to the Council for
West Virginia Archaeology and sent to:
