This group is for OWNERS of Vaio U series, including the new UX90 and UX50. It started with the U50 and U70 and the successors, the U71 and short lived U750. We also allow people who are very intent on purchase, i.e. have one on order, or are currently ebaying for one.

We have a lot of users and experience of using, modifying and tweaking these great hand held computers. There are many tips, pointers for software download, techniques on installing XP and the Tablet OS.

This is NOT a place to come and ask what "how do you like yours" or "is the Sony better than an XWZ computer/laptop/PDA?" You will do better surfing the Internet for opinions and reviews.

To re-iterate, don't apply for membership saying you want to learn about the U series, or how people use it. Read the reviews on the Internet.

Also, do not apply for membership if you are a distributor or seller of these items, I strive to keep this site "high signal to noise", lots of info and help for owners and users, not a marketplace or chat site.

When you apply for membership, you must take a little time to describe why you want to join, and what you hope to get out of it. Just a couple of sentences will do it. Don't just put "hi", for example.

If you don't submit this kind of info, then I'll assume the request could be spam or your goals don't match the group's and you won't be allowed in... and that's a shame, it's a great group!
