What software or softwares have proven good and reliable among users
in this group for extracting video from DVDs?

My prior experience with ripper softwares has been corrupted rips and
jerky video or video out-of-sync with audio.

So far I have tried several and not really impressed with the
performance of any of the ones I have tried, but what is indeed the
right ripper software to refer to?
