The WV Extension Service, along with the WV Shepherd's Federation will be
hosting The 2008 Small Ruminant Short Course at Camp Pioneer in Beverly, WV on
Saturday, December 6th from 9 am till 2 pm. A lamb luncheon will be served at
noon. There will be workshops and discussions on wool, goats, predator control,
breeding soundness, animal health, targeted grazing, and FAMANCHA. There is no
charge for the short course, though there will be a charge for lunch for
non-members of the WV Shepherd's Federation (You may join the Federation at the
door and get the free lunch, as well as supporting the sheep, goat and fiber
industries in the state of West Virginia). The WVSF Annual Meeting will follow
the short course at 2 pm.
