Snitter is a Twitter client for Windows or Mac that uses Adobe AIR.
It's a great little client that keeps itself small and simple.
You receive notifications of updates from those who you are following, including replies in a handy little scrolling window.

Well it also, counts the number of characters as you type and has an automatic mini-url converter for when you paste links in to your post.
