Re: [WWA-SectionTS-Technical-Forum] update

Hello Steve,

I thought you were going to call me after you completed the new ground system? As I stated to you on the phone, I didn't think there would be any change. The purpose of installing a new ground system was to ensure they (FCC, PSE, etc) would not be able to point their finger at you. Now that we know your grounding system is correct, that completes step 1 of this process, and now we can go after the company at fault.

I have worked with FCC several times here in the Pacific NW. They are very professional, nice people to deal with. Unfortunely because of all the budget cuts, the field offices will not come out to find the problem unless they know for sure they can nail them in court. That is why it took me 6 months guiding a local ham club to find the 15 year old newly licensed ham who was causing problems to the local repeater, and actually dialing 911 on the machine, using someone else's callsign, etc. With that said, we need to first decide who is at fault, which means lets do not rule out the local cable TV company. I have found a lot of problems with them as well.

With that said, is there anyone who can get out to Steve's QTH fairly quickly? And has the neccassary DF gear to pinpoint the interference?

Hi all.
I had a really nice telephone chat with Jim last week. He questioned my
ground system and I have since driven a new 8 foot ground rod, connected
everything in a star configuration as suggested and there has been no
noticeable change.
PSE has not called to provide me with a possible repair date, and I have
gotten no response to my voice messages. I guess that I am going to have
to file a complaint with the FCC and the Public Utilities Commission in
order to get a positive response from PSE.
I still could use help in identifying whether the problem is emanating
from the pole, or emanating from a neighbors house and riding the drop
to the pole. If I can get this one major noise issue resolved, then I
can work on the others ...
Thanks in advance.
