Walsall's own astronomical site.

We are based at the Rushall Olympic Football club, off Bosty Lane, Aldridge, the small lane opposite the Royal Oak Pub, every Thursday night. To get in to the club you have to go around the back of the club house via the small entrance passage way and go in through the bar entrance the second outside door on the right. We are situated in the room at the far end of the bar which says committee members only. Come in and say hello.

We have members who have a range of experiences from Deep sky and planetary observing to eclipse chasing. We have a club range of telescopes, the largest is a 12 inch Dobsonian. There is access to softwear for computers and a large library of books. Observing is our main aim in the group and we do so whenever possible. We have a group of members who regularly observer the sun in white light and H alpha. Planetary observing is active also, as is variable star observing.

The group is active in its observing program. Members have various size telescopes from 70mm Meade goto units to a fully computerised 24 inch Newtonian. CCD imaging is at a forefront as is videography. New members are invited to join in.
